HSA 18TH DECEMBER 2020 ONLINE
This one-day course will help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only, is sufficient for your workplace.
What you will learn
The content of this course provides basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations, covering the following:
|The role of the first aider||Health and safety (first aid) regulations|
|Managing an emergency||Resuscitation (adult CPR)|
|Communication and casualty care||Seizures (adult)|
|Bleeding (minor and severe)||Shock|
|Choking (adult)||Defibrillator pad placement|
|Defibrillator prompts and how to respond|
Course durationOne day. All successful candidates on this course get 25% their first annual refresher.
AssessmentWritten assessment and continuous observation by the trainer. Candidates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2). So whilst we are often able to provide support to people who for example do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance, although we may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance
